Private chef required for a luxurious chalet in Megève, France.
You will be cooking for a family consisting of two adults and two children (ages 4 & 1). You will also need to cater for additional people when the family have guests. The family are providing accommodation (separate room). The assignment will last 6-7 weeks and approximate dates are 16th December 2018 – 8th February 2019. Travel will be arranged by the family and a car will be provided for provisioning. You will need experience working in a family environment and have a friendly personality.
The family enjoy a relaxed dining experience with the focus being on simple but well executed family style dishes. You will need to be experienced in producing fine dining dishes for when the family entertain. A broad knowledge of cuisines is important and this will need to include; Modern European with a focus on Italian and French. Asian and Indian cuisine would be an advantageous. You’ll need experience making desserts too.
You will need to be able to menu plan in advance and organise the shopping. Kitchen and equipment should be kept spotless at all times, a high level of cleanliness is important. The work day is normally split into two shifts, 8am- 12.00pm preparing breakfast, a light lunch and dinner prep. The evening shift is 18.00-22.00.
